Reading the record

  • Base 100. The account index started at 100 on the day the first engine went live. A reading of 112 means the account is up 12% since then, after all costs.
  • New money doesn't move the line. Returns are time-weighted, like a fund's unit price: new capital buys in at that day's level, so only gains and losses move the index. Additions are marked with ▲; amounts stay private.
  • New engines join at the account's level. If another engine goes live, its line starts at the account index on its first day and then follows its own returns, so every line shares one scale.
  • Live money only. Strategies still on paper are not shown or counted.
  • Pounds or dollars. Each view converts every engine at that day's exchange rate, so the two differ by the currency move.
  • Sharpe ratio is the annualised return above cash per unit of volatility, shown once there are three months of data. Annualised return is shown after one year.
