Chaein Research is an independent quant research lab in London, started in October 2026.
The name
Chaein, pronounced chay-in, joins the founder's family name, Chae, with chain. Markets are chains of cause and effect: flows, lead–lag effects, and who pays for an edge. The lab's job is to find out which links are real.
The founder
The lab is run by Min Seung Chae, investing since 2020 and building the lab since October 2026, with AI research agents doing much of the data and testing work under fixed rules.
What it is not
Chaein Research is not a fund or a regulated firm. It trades only its founder's own capital, accepts no client money and gives no investment advice.
